ACTS Ministry

We are an ACTS (A Church That Serves) Ministry congregation. Having adopted the ACTS Ministry Plan as our model, we have made an historic move away from a committee-based to a volunteer-based ministry. After signing up at our annual Ministry Fair, all of our ministries are performed by teams of devoted believers who volunteer their services in the areas of their choice. Our business issues are handled by the appropriate team(s) without the traditional monthly business meeting. Our only church-wide business meeting comes in December when we present the yearly operating budget. Believing that all Christians are gifted by the Holy Spirit for effective ministry and are required by God to use those gifts to His glory in some demonstrative way, members and new members are strongly encouraged to submit a "My Ministry Plan" booklet each year. Faithful service is how we prove ourselves worthy to hear "well done" at the final judgment of believers. (2 Corinthians 5.10)  We are, therefore, motivated to serve Him with enthusiasm.
