Christ Himself is our very life, so everything in this body of believers revolves around Him. We are His church. We honor Him as Lord. He is the Alpha and Omega of our lives - our Savior, our Redeemer, our everything! Therefore, we have set ourselves to love Christ, follow Christ, obey Christ, and serve Christ. This is the essence of who we are. We are all about Christ!
We treasure fellowship, sharing our common life together in Christ. His life pulsates through our body. His truth and love knit our hearts together. Despite our many differences of family background, education, business, and social standing, we are one in Christ. Our goal is to develop a community of believers who practice gracious and harmonious behavior as a model for the world.
Baptist defines our theological and historical distinctive. We are Baptists by conviction, not tradition, standing in a great line of the saints who have gone before us. This godly line can be traced back to the English Reformation of the sixteenth century. As with our forefathers, we believe in the full inspiration and authority of Scripture, salvation by grace alone, the baptism of believers only by immersion, the priesthood of believers, the eternal security of the redeemed, the absolute and undeniable sovereingty of the Almighty, and more. These God-exalting truths mark our identity. Our denominational affiliation is with the Southern Baptist Convention.
We are the church, the called out ones. We have been called out of darkness into light by God's sovereign grace. We have been drawn by the Spirit into fellowship with Christ. Because we are God's chosen people, we actually seek to "come out of the world and be a separate people". Christ died to deliver us from "this present evil generation", so we are determined not to be "conformed to this world" in any respect. We are in the world, but no longer of the world.
As such, we have been entrusted with the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. This characterized the preaching ministry of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul. The kingdom of this world is doomed to final collapse. In its place will rise the Kingdom of Heaven which will be inaugurated at the Second Coming of Christ to the earth. This present life is our basic training in preparation to serve as His co-regents when He finally rules the entire earth from His throne in the new Jerusalem, Israel. Genuine conversion by the Holy Spirit of God is the first essential followed by a holy life.
Finally, our corporate worship is designed for God's glory alone. The music is vibrant, uplifting, inspiring, and Biblical
reflecting the spirit of grace rather than the spirit of this age. We thrive on traditional hymns that express the great doctrines of Scripture and fresh new hymns and songs that capture the exhileration of knowing and enjoying the God of all gods and the King of all kings. The preaching is a practical and relevant opening of the Word of Truth, not for entertainment or in man's wisdom, but in the wisdom of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
